EQUI-FLAX is an abundant source of
Omega 3 (polyunsaturaed) fat that is very important in the equine diet.
These essential fatty acids (EFAs) have vital functions such as increasing
metabolic rate, increasing oxygen uptake and increasing energy production.
EFAs are components of membranes that surround each cell keeping beneficial
things in and harmful things out. They are required for transport and
metabolism of cholesterol and triglicerides. EFAs are required for normal
development of the brain and brain function.
EQUI-FLAX is a great benefit for working
horses of all types. Stamina is greatly increased and the horse regains
strength quickly after exertion. The seed is ground into meal in small
batches to retain freshness. EQUIZYME is added at 1/4 cup per feeding
of EQUI-FLAX along with appropriate
amounts of monosodium phosphate for balance.
